Fuel-oil is a common fuel used in absolutely all (100%) heavy transportation by sea (petrol tankers, cargo ships, leisure transatlantic ships, etc.), being also an essential product in industry, because of having the lowest price.

Its calorific value, based on SGS analysis, is 41.1 Mj per Kilo, providing an inflammation point of 86º C. By increasing that point, the calorific power increases too.

From the results of the attached analysis, we can observe that the inflammation point of the studied Fuel Oil was 90.5. With the addition of our BFO product, which represents 3% of the volume, we lower the point to 75.5 and so the calorific value of the fuel is increased.

 

With that very same 3%, the kinematic viscosity at 50º C goes from 219.9 to 174.1, which means that the pre-heating is achieved at lower numbers and the starting cost is reduced.

Oilflux offers a wide range of additives for different oils (fuel-oil, gas-oil, etc). The dosage must be always adjusted to each specific case.
